ALMAMET Romania was founded already in 2005 and relocated to its own land in Târnăveni in 2015, which is still the location today. The site has more than 20 years of experience in producing and supplying high-quality Lime blends with additives, Calcium Carbide and in Magnesium-Recycling.

Excellence in Sustainability

Our site in Romania is one of several locations within the ALMAMET International Group where Magnesium is recycled. ALMAMET SRL Romania is producing a high-performance product for the Desulfurization of hot metal by the use of scrap.

This benefits the steel industry directly: Compared to primary Magnesium, the significantly reduced Carbon Footprint of secondary Magnesium makes it possible to produce desulfurizing reagents with a substantially lower Carbon Footprint. Each batch is strictly tested for its quality to avoid any impurities and to continuously supply the same high-quality produced, which is produced with primary Magnesium.
